Jon is a farmer from Northeast Thailand. He founded the Pun Pun Center for organic farm self-reliance outside Chiang Mai, with his wife Peggy Reents in 2003. Pun Pun functions as a seed and sustainable life production center, with the aim of sourcing indigenous and rare seeds and put them back to use. It is a common setting for training in simple techniques to live more sustainably. Outside of Pun Pun, Jon is a leader of Thailand's natural building movement, appearing as a spokesperson in dozens of publications and television shows over the past 10 years. He continually strives to find easier ways for people to meet their basic needs. For more information, visit
